Fudge & the Frequency

Fudge & the Frequency release single ‘Planet Radio’ November 16th from their EP  ‘Futuristic Funk’.

Check it out here:  https://soundcloud.com/fudgeandthefrequency/planet-radio-1

1. How did you get your initial start in music?

It was completely organic. Even though my father and all his brothers were established musicians (violins/flute/double bass and electric guitar) I never once felt the pressure to be involved in music. I found the drive and passion from the age of about 13

2. What would be your ultimate aim in the industry?

I want to spread ‘Fudge And The Frequency’ as far as possible. Id like to have the whole world singing our songs and attending our concerts!!! The ultimate aim is to leave a positive influence on people and there life’s. #spreadthefrequency

3. How long have you been writing your own music?

15 years and long will that carry on………..

4. Who are your top three influences and why?

I have had many influences which have really helped with the creation of our music. some are positive and others have been very much the opposite but either way they have come into my life at perfect moments to help me always get to the next stage. However musical influences would be:

Stevie Wonder – because he is the Monster of music. He is quite literally all about the feel of music and what it can emote when creating music. Its very easy (especially in today’s music state) to be influenced by formulas and mundane theory…..so I like to follow Mr Wonder in saying ‘If it sounds right, its right’

Jamiroquai – We are always compared to these amazing guys, which can only be taken as a compliment, so I guess they have definitely had some kind of subconscious influence on our musical creativity. Great musicians with energetic vibrations that can have anyone moving within seconds

Ryan Leslie – the most current of my inspirations not just because he is a music making machine but mainly because of his entrepreneurial methods of connecting with people all around the world.

5. Is there anything you would like people to know about your current release?

Sure. We are having a single launch for a Monster of a song called ‘PLANET RADIO’ on Saturday 16th November at The Kensington Roof Gardens, which is a gorgeous venue. This is quite simply the most important gig of my career and I want to share it with everone….. It is a statement to all DJ’s and radio stations out there!!!

‘Its time to plug us in’

6. Where are you based and what’s your local scene like? Any favourite venues?

We are have studios in Chiswick and Virginia Waters however we were originally based in Feltham. To be completely honest there wasn’t too much of a live music scene in Feltham when I was growing up but I owe a lot of my inspirations to Feltham as it made me appreciate things like time, friendships, money and decisions. I can genuinely say I experienced sides of life that very few get to see…..but all very much worth it!

7. Who else can you recommend from your local scene for people to have a listen to?

Fudge And The Frequency!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No im joking. We have been hibernating in the studio for many years now, which has left me with very little acquaintances….so I really don’t know……errrrrm actually my great friends EL BORN are incredible and will leave a lasting impression once you have seen them perform. Check them out – http://elborn.org/

8. Give our readers a round up of where they can find you online and hear more of your music.
