You can watch the video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f3vtXKUGbz0 Despite its upbeat rock exterior, Dirty Louie is trying to point out the injustices and inequalities he has seen throughout his life and is trying to get his point across.

Here is our interview with him…

How did you get your initial start in music?

I walked into a brand new music store in a mall in Caracas in 1976 and the guy I used to buy pot from was there… So I asked him what the heck are you doing and he said…’voy a ser como jimi”, meaning he wanted to be like Jimi hendrix.. I was pretty depressed from walking out of a really stupid Hollywood movie….so I stole a guitar…and now I’m here!

What would be your ultimate aim in the industry?

Just calling it an industry is crazy… I don’t expect to do a damn thing in the industry except release a rock song that have never been envisioned…and that’s a tall order, since all rock and roll sounds pretty much like the last.

How long have you been writing your own music?

Since the beginning, I don’t know how to play cover music.

Who are your top three influences and why?

I guess The Stones were my main influence, then Ismael Rivera and finally Ives Montand or Serge Gainsbourg.

Is there anything you would like people to know about your current release?

It’s the absolute best music short of classical…and it’s seriously original

Where are you based and what’s your local scene like? Any favourite venues?

I live in NYC and every rocker looks like he bought his entire attitude including his wardrobe from a catalogue owned by a mega millionaire who is on his mega yacht somewhere…Laughing at you…

Who else can you recommend from your local scene for people to have a listen to?
